So I got the opportunity to finally drive a 500X and wanted to share a few thoughts
I went in really wanted to like the car. I think it’s attractive, a nice size, and decently priced
But! I hated it...at least initially. Rough cold idle, some cheap plastics inside, rough ride, slow throttle response. Hated all of that.
Then I discovered sport mode. Every car needs a sport mode this effective. This things pretends to be an Abarth in sport mode!
Quick steering and tight chassis, combined with quick throttle and peppy engine made this car surprisingly fun to drive...in sport mode.
In summary, I want an Abarth 500X. It exists FCA, please don’t disappoint.
Sorry for no real pics as I totally forgot I had 2 smartphones in my pocket as I always get excited to drive a new car.

I test drove one and like it pretty well myself. Would like to drive a Renegade just to see if they are similar.

I’ll get around to driving one of them eventually. I love the way the Renegade looks, inside and out. Hopefully it rides a little smoother than the Fiat.

In the Fiat’s defence, it was never meant for anything but smooth roads. It would be surprising and ironic if the Renegade has a smoother ride.

I must commend its lovely rims and mirrors. Pity they will disintegrate the day the warranty runs out.

I will say, the quarter windows on the door, by the mirrors, make the visibility exceptional. Not quite as good as the 500L, but better than most new cars.

Look at the Italians thinking ahead. I’m so proud of them.
